  Colortrac SmartLF SCi-series scanners are perfect for daily scanning tasks. A document in A0/E size can be scanned in full color at 12 inches per second, only 1 inch per second slower than the black and white scanning speed. The connection to the host computer is straightforward and uses a standard USB 3.0 cable that comes with the scanner.

  Large document handling area
  SmartLF SCi scanners have a large, user-friendly intermediate platform that accepts documents for scanning with the front side up. Documents specially designed to automatically detect the size of documents placed in the center of the scanner can be loaded and prepared for scanning in seconds. Documents that conform to standard drawing sheet sizes (manual mode) can be placed in the center or to the side depending on the choice of software. Magnetic paper guides are also provided to make positioning easier. SCi 42 scanners have a maximum media width of 44" (1117 mm) and are capable of scanning documents and maps up to a thickness of 0.08" (2 mm).
  
  Dynamic document feed
  Unlike scanners that use offset sensors, SmartLF SCi benefits from a simplified pressure roller arrangement to ensure that the document always remains in contact with the optics. The rollers on each side of the scanning line and the active soft pressure roller running along the length of the SingleSensor are all motor-driven, allowing the scanner to dynamically respond and actively work against optical disturbances caused by folds and uneven documents. This unique technology ensures that delicate or fragile media such as newspapers and old drawings can be scanned safely and accurately without any issues.
  
  SuperSpeed PC Interface
  SmartLF SCi 42 uses a SuperSpeed USB 3.0 digital interface, enabling the scanner to operate at full speed on full-width documents or to scan smaller documents at higher resolution faster.
